Sightings - Meeting Practical Needs for Eternal Impact
When the call came in the young woman was asking only for a place to park her truck for the evening. She had been removed from her apartment and needed a safe location for her truck so she could sleep in it.
Rusti, director of Mission Crestwood, took that call and quickly made another. “How is that house coming along?”
A friend had mentioned to her that a rental property in Oldham County that they owned was going to be available to Mission Crestwood as soon as a few repairs were completed. One call later and this homeless young woman had a roof over her head for the night.
Model Christ’s love to them:
To legally drive her truck, this young woman needed a Kentucky license. She did not have the resources to complete her driving test. Mission Crestwood provided a volunteer’s car to help this woman pass her driving test.
The results are undeniable:
After months of the body of Christ loving on this young woman – through many things, including providing her a home and a way to legally drive – she made the decision to trust her life to Jesus Christ and was baptized as a member of Cross Point Church, which is affiliated with Mission Crestwood.
God is working and moving at Mission Crestwood!
We invite you to personally experience these God sightings and point our community toward Jesus at Mission Crestwood on Monday or Saturday mornings from 10:00am-12:00pm or Thursday evenings from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Just show up and see what God is doing!
